Size Does Matter!
With the many different cordless tool packages there are many different options available to let him cut the cord and go mobile.
What you need to know:
- Size matters and so do the Amps.
- You get what you pay for.
- There's always something they need.
Size matters and so do the Amps
When it comes to tools you always need something with enough power. We recommend buying at least somewhere between 14.4 to 18 Volts. While drills at 7.2 and 9.6 volts may seem like a quick cheap gift, they really limit your options for expandability and for a few more bucks you can really get a better tool.

We recommend the DEWALT 18-Volt, 5 Tool Cordless Combo Kit to put a smile a any face. At around $700, the price is steep but the quality and variety of tools is a great addition to any tool chest.

You get what you pay for
Remember, you can get cheaper tools but it's not worth it. Your best bet is to buy something just one tool or accessory. Don't get fooled into buying a whole set of tools for a cheaper price. Spend the extra money on one of these names and you won't regret it.

There's always something they need
Okay, so you don't have a couple of hundred bucks to throw down on a gift. You want to say something without cutting to far into your bank account. You're in luck and besides, remember that even when shopping for someone who has a great set of tools that there are always a few things you can add to their toolbox they'll appreciate.
Don't forget, everyone works better when they have some tunes in the room.
Check out the DEWALT Heavy-Duty Worksite Radio/Charger
This system has a Digital Tuner with LCD display, built-in clock, 8 station memory presets and a 1 hour charger for 7.2V to 18V DeWalt NiCd battery packs . This is a great gift idea.
Or if sounds aren't a good idea then consider something for a quick cleanup.
The DEWALT DC500 Multi-Volt Cordless/Corded Vac is light, portable, versatile, and powerful. DeWalt's new little vac is a great invention. We love that it's powered by a 12- to 18-volt battery, allowing for use when the power's off or you're too far from an outlet, and that you can also plug it in for continuous use. If you're a DeWalt fan, it's likely you already have the 12- to 18-volt batteries and the charger, so the fact that this is sold without those won't affect you. But that's a change we'd like to see DeWalt make. Other than that, it couldn't be better. The five-foot hose is flexible, and the cleaning tools fit on board. The suction's impressive, whether on AC or DC power. Unlike other wet-dry vacs, you don't have to change out the filter innards when switching from wet to dry, and we just love that. Just rinse it off to clean it. It's light as a feather, super-portable, and plenty powerful.
Other great simple ideas are tool bags, tape measures, drill bits or even flash lights. If you are buying for someone who appreciates tools then you'll score big with one of these ideas.
