There was three casting blobs of metal around the top that I spent 45 minutes fileing so the top would come close to closing. I washed with hot water and soap. Customer Review: The delivery of the press was as expected. The press itself is not as solid as I had expected. The handle has to be screwed on by the purchaser and the screws and handle connection-point make for a weak connection.
