Customer Review: This is an extremely well written, heart wrenching story. It is also must read for parents grappling with their child's sexual orientation. Rick Warren and other religious leaders should read it before making any more pronouncements about the LGBT community.

Customer Review: I just can't get enough of Dan Savage. He draws us into his life and paints a picture that is intensely interesting and surprisingly relatable. You can't put this book down. He's just such a skilled writer! His writing is perfectly conversational, yet, thoughtfully and intelligently written. He does... more info
Customer Review: It's hard to take this work seriously when it's so full of errors. The author became a self-proclaimed Brazilianist overnight and it shows. A good ethnography requires more than what went into this work, although it's an interesting topic and a great job of anthropological showboating.
Customer Review: I bought this book after hearing an interview with the author on NPR and browsing the book in a bookstore. Customer Review: Pros: very informative

Was deciding between RACHEL PEPPER'S book and this...choose this one based upon the number of pages (like more pages would make... more info
Customer Review: The 30th anniversary of PFLAG is a fitting time for this updated edition. Former national vice president of PFLAG, Robert Bernstein has chronicled not only his own journey to acceptance and support of his lesbian daughter, but also the founding and continuing growth of PFLAG.

Customer Review: Our education system always talks the talk of "celebrating diversity," but we are pummeled by political correctness any time we acknowledge any differences. Michael Gurian does an exellent job presenting a lot of heavy medical and scientific research about brain differences between boys and... more info
